East Bengal’s Cibille close to comeback as the team prepare for Kerala clash ISL 2025-26

Kolkata, 10 March: East Bengal FC are preparing for their next home challenge against Kerala Blasters FC with full focus. The team looks stronger as injured players are returning to the squad. With three days left before the match, Oscar is planning to go all out for all three points from the clash to secure a competitive position in the table.

Kerala Blasters FC are yet to open their points account after playing four matches and are currently standing 13th in the table. East Bengal, on the other hand, started with two impressive wins but dropped points in the last two clashes with one loss and one draw. They currently stand 5th in the table with 7 points from the same number of matches.

As the clash is likely to be in favour of the Red and Gold Brigade, it is expected that they will collect all three points. Oscar is also preparing the team accordingly, as in a shorter league it is important to stay consistent in collecting points.

After a long period out with a hamstring injury, Kevin Cibille joined the team on March 2 and took part in the training session, but only in the physical drills before continuing his rehabilitation on the sidelines. On the other hand, Crespo is training with the squad and is likely to be included in the matchday squad on Saturday.

In Tuesday’s training session, the team focused on possession drills, crosses, and a practice match. The probable playing XI featured Gill in goal, with Yousef, Bipin, Edmund, in the offense, and Crespo Rashid, Mahesh operated in the mid, while Anwar, Rakip, Nunga, and Jeakson led the defense during the training match.

With the preparations in full focus, East Bengal FC will look to carry their early momentum into the upcoming home clash. The return of key players and the intensity in training reflect the team’s determination to secure a positive result. As the match approaches, the Red and Gold Brigade will aim to stay consistent in their performances and add three more crucial points to strengthen their position in the table.
