Mohun Bagan SG Face BSF FT in Durand Cup 2025 Second Group Match at Kishore Bharati Krirangan

Kolkata, August 3: Mohun Bagan SG will play their second fixture of the ongoing Durand Cup 2025–26 against BSF FT tomorrow at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan, with kickoff at 7:00 PM.

In the first match, Mohun Bagan SG played with an all-Indian squad under Bastob Roy. Ahead of the second match, members of the coaching team and two foreign players, Tom Aldred and Alberto Rodriguez, have joined the squad. However, some players are still not fully fit, as confirmed by head coach Jose Molina in the pre-match press conference. It is also uncertain whether any foreign players will be included in the starting lineup tomorrow.

BSF FT lost their first match against DHFC by a heavy seven-goal margin. However, Mohun Bagan’s head coach did not comment on their opponents ahead of tomorrow’s match. Choosing instead to focus on his own team’s preparations and gradual squad integration.

Interestingly, tomorrow’s fixture at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan will be a first for head coach Jose Molina, who seemed slightly confused during the pre-match press conference. Unaware that the match would take place at Kishore Bharati and not at the more familiar Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Molina momentarily mixed up the two stadiums, drawing a few light chuckles in the media room.

However, the coach quickly brushed aside the mix-up, stating confidently, “No matter what the ground is, our preparation remains the same for every match.

Mohun Bagan SG Coaches View:

Molina says the team’s goal remains unchanged !
“You know, every time we go to the pitch, our goal is to win a match, to score as many goals as possible, and to receive as few goals as possible. And tomorrow will be the same. In the previous season, we were the runners-up, in this season, hope for the best, we too target to win the cup” , Jose Molina Said.

With BSF FT coming off a heavy defeat in their opener, Mohun Bagan SG will look to capitalize on their momentum and secure another dominant performance under the floodlights at Kishore Bharati Krirangan.
