Reserve team coach Kaizad Ambapardiwalla earns senior team responsibility as the Jamshedpur FC continue their youth-driven vision ahead of Durand Cup 2026.
Kolkata, July 10: Jamshedpur FC’s reserve team head coach, Kaizad Ambapardiwalla, has been appointed as the club’s head coach for the 2026 Durand Cup. The appointment once again highlights Jamshedpur FC’s commitment to promoting coaches from its youth setup, as seen previously when youth team coach Steven Dias took charge of the senior team.
From Bengaluru FC U17, Kaizad joined Jamshedpur FC’s reserve team in the 2024 season, and in the upcoming Durand Cup, he will lead the club’s senior team.
In recent years, Jamshedpur FC have consistently promoted players from their youth setup to the senior team. Players such as Nikhil Barla, goalkeeper Amrit Gope, and Vishal Yadav have earned opportunities, while experienced campaigners like Pronay Halder and Sandip Mandi have played important roles in guiding the squad previously.
It shows that Jamshedpur FC are not just competing in tournaments but are steadily building a strong footballing culture by providing opportunities to talented players and coaches, strengthening the club year after year.
This season, the Red Miners will kick off their Durand Cup 2026 campaign on July 26 against Defenders FC. They have been placed in Group C alongside Defenders FC, Sporting Club Delhi, and Indian Air Force Football Team. Jamshedpur FC will play all their group fixtures at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium, Ranchi. With a balanced squad mixing experienced players and promising youngsters, the Red Miners will look to appear.
Kaizad said he is honoured to lead the team and aims to play positive football while representing the club with pride!
“It is an honour to lead Jamshedpur FC in a tournament as prestigious as the Durand Cup. We have a talented group of players who have worked hard in pre-season, and we are looking forward to the challenge ahead. Our aim is to represent the club with pride, play positive football and make the most of this opportunity,”.
Now for the previous year’s quarter finalist the aim will be to redefine themselves in another Durand Cup campaign. Under the guidance of Kaizad Ambapardiwalla, Jamshedpur FC will look to begin their Durand Cup 2026 campaign on a positive note. With a balanced squad of experienced players and young talents, the Red Miners will aim to make a strong impact while continuing to build for the future through their youth development philosophy.
