India U-20 Women Squad Announced for AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup 2026 – Big Boost Ahead of Tough Japan Clash

Kolkata, March 30: India U-20 women will kick off their AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026 campaign on 2nd April against Japan. Head coach Joakim Alexandersson named his final 23-member squad on Monday.

Ten days ago, the Young Tigresses arrived in Bangkok with 24 members. On Monday, Joakim Alexandersson announced his final 23-member squad, only defender Alka Indwar was left out, with the rest of the squad remaining the same.

The top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams among the three groups, will qualify for the quarter-finals. The four winners of the quarter-finals will then qualify for the U20 Women’s World Cup Poland 2026.

Final 23-member squad for the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup Thailand 2026 campaign:

Goalkeepers: Monalisha Devi Moirangthem, Nandini, Ribansi Jamu.

Defenders: Cindy Remruatpuii Colney, Nishima Kumari, Remi Thokchom, Ruchi Yadav, Sahena TH, Shubhangi Singh, Thoibisana Chanu Toijam.

Midfielders: Anju Chanu Kayenpaibam, Arina Devi Nameirakpam, Bhumika Devi Khumukcham, Monisha Singha, Neha, Pooja, Shruti Kumari.

Forwards: Babita Kumari, Deepika Pal, Lhingdeikim, Shilji Shaji, Sibani Devi Nongmeikapam, Sulanjana Raul.

April 2, 6:30 PM: Japan vs India, Thammasat Stadium

April 5, 2:30 PM: India vs Australia, Pathum Thani Stadium
