Diamond Harbour FC’s Dominant 2-0 Win Boosts Promotion Charge Despite Chanmari FC Threat

Kolkata, April 25: Diamond Harbour FC strengthened their grip at the top of the points table in the ongoing Indian Football League by winning their first match of the Championship Round against Chanmari FC 2–0 at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium on Saturday evening.

In a tight contest where both teams played attacking football and posed several attacking threats, Diamond Harbour FC found the net twice. In the 26th minute, Chanmari FC created their first real threat when they started a goal-bound move. Melroy intercepted and initially saved the attack, but Ruatsanga got the ball and launched a grounded shot, though it missed by inches.
