ISL 2024–25 Final: Mohun Bagan SG vs Bengaluru FC – Clash of Titans Set for VYBK Showdown

The battle lines are drawn as the stage is set for the much-awaited ISL 2024–25 final between Mohun Bagan SG and Bengaluru FC, taking place tomorrow at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan from 7:30 PM.

It’s a battle between two Spaniards, Jose Molina and Gerard Zaragoza, and both teams have faced each other on several big occasions before. Both teams have met 11 times before — Mohun Bagan SG have won 7 times, while the Blues have won twice.

Injury issues are not bothering the Mohun Bagan SG camp, as Manvir Singh is match-fit and will probably be in the starting XI. On the other side, for Bengaluru, Roshan Singh has returned and has begun his recovery. Manvir Singh is set to make his fifth Indian Super League final appearance tomorrow and is leading the race for the most playoff appearances, with 18 matches.

The focus will be on Cummings, as he holds a streak of four consecutive playoff games with goals. From the Blues, Rahul Bheke will be in the spotlight for his defensive organization and performance. He has made 121 clearances, the fourth-most by a defender.

Both coaches are focused on tomorrow and aren’t concerned with past statistics. Gerard Zaragoza said he wants a positive result for the fans, who are always present everywhere to support the team. Reflecting on last season’s Durand Cup, where Bengaluru FC drew in Kolkata and treated the city as a second home, Zaragoza remains confident that playing at the VYBK won’t bring extra pressure. On the other hand, the defending Shield champions head coach, Jose Molina, believes that playing in front of their home fans will give them an extra boost. As he wants to win it for everyone, especially for the supporters who’s stood tall by the season.
