Seven-goal thriller! Inter Kashi roars back to claim a stunning 4-3 comeback win over Aizawl FC

On January 18, at the Kalyani Stadium, Inter Kashi made a stunning comeback to secure all three points on their home ground against Aizawl FC with a close 4-3 scoreline. In that tight contest, Aizawl FC took an early lead, however, in the second half, Inter Kashi displayed determined attacking football to register their win.

Aizawl FC took an early lead. In the 5th minute, a cross from the left side was sent into the box, which Lalrochana converted into the back of the net. In the 22nd minute, Aizawl doubled their lead through a quick attack, with Lalrinzuala finding the net. Despite having a maximum of 60% ball possession, Inter Kashi controlled the first half, however, the Aizawl defense stood strong and remained highly alert, against their attack.

In the second half, in the 61st minute, Kashi launched an attack, during which Sumit Passi unleashed a shot from the right. The ball deflected off Aizawl defender Hrangthankima and went into the net. Within four minutes, Inter Kashi’s new signing, Bryce Miranda, who came on at halftime in place of Kartick, scored the crucial equalizer in his first appearance.

In the 70th minute, Kashi earned a free kick just outside the right edge of the box. Substitute Nikola took the free kick and converted it into a goal, changing the 3-2 scoreline in favor of Kashi. In the last quarter, Kashi increased their attacking intensity. However, in the 81st minute, Aizawl won a penalty kick. Anil Chawan committed a rough challenge on Biakdika inside the box to stop him. Lalrinzuala took the penalty kick and converted it into a goal, equalizing the score at 3-3.

The goal storm didn’t stop there as Kashi continued their attack. In the 84th minute, from a goal-bound move, Edmund attempted a on target shot which brings the lead and sealed the score 4-3 for Inter Kashi. In the 89th minute Aizwal got ten man down as Vanlalvunga conceded his second yellow card. However after a tide dramatic contest the match ended with a 4-3 scoreline in favor of the home team, Kashi.
