SAFF Women’s Championship 2026 Draw Revealed: India Faces Tough Bangladesh Clash in High-Stakes Group Battle

Kolkata, 22 April: The Indian women’s team is set to host their second SAFF Women’s Championship in Margao, Goa from 25th May. The groups have been drawn, and the fixtures are out. The groups were drawn based on the latest FIFA Women’s Rankings. All matches will be play in Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Previously, in 2016, India hosted the SAFF Women’s Championship for the first time in Siliguri, West Bengal. The five-time champions India are placed in the same Group alongside successfull defending champion Bangladesh who have won the last two championship and Maldives.

The groups for the SAFF Women’s Championship 2026 have been announced. Group A consists of Nepal(87th), Sri Lanka(162th), and Bhutan(164th), while Group B features India(69th), Bangladesh(112th), and Maldives(167th). Group winners and group runners up will play semi finals.

4:30 PM, Nepal vs Bhutan
7:30 PM, India vs Maldives

May 28
4:30 PM, Sri Lanka vs Bhutan
7:30 PM, Bangladesh vs Maldives

May 31
4:30 PM, Nepal vs Sri Lanka
7:30 PM, India vs Bangladesh

June 3 (Semi-finals)
4:00 PM, Group A Winners vs Group B Runners-up
8:00 PM, Group B Winners vs Group A Runners-up
