Ritwik Das Joins Odisha FC: Powerful New Signing for ISL 2026-27

Ritwik Das joins Odisha FC on a two-year deal as the Kalinga Warriors strengthen their attack ahead of the ISL 2026-27 season.

Kolkata, September 16: Odisha FC have completed the signing of winger Ritwik Das ahead of the new Indian Super League season, with the 29-year-old joining the Kalinga Warriors on a two-year deal that will keep him at the club until 2028.

The former Red Miners winger joins Odisha FC after spending the last few seasons with Jamshedpur FC. Ritwik Das had an eye-catching spell with Jamshedpur in the 2024-25 season and continued with the club in the previous season before now beginning a new chapter with Odisha FC now.

Born in Burnpur, West Bengal, Das started his football journey in the Kolkata football circuit. He was part of the Mohun Bagan Academy setup and also played many years in the ages old Calcutta Football League for Calcutta Customs and Kalighat Milan before making a move to Real Kashmir FC in 2017.

His performances with Real Kashmir earned him an opportunity in the Indian Super League, as he joined Kerala Blasters FC in 2020. A year later, Ritwik moved to Jamshedpur FC, where he experienced a breakthrough 2021-22 season. He scored four goals in 15 ISL appearances as Jamshedpur secured the League Winners’ Shield.

Since then, Ritwik has become an established Indian winger in the ISL, with his pace and directness allowing him to operate across the wide areas, also his remarkable goal against Mohun Bagan SG in the semi final of 2024-25 ISL, and big momentum like that expressed his ability.

His progress at club level also earned him recognition from the Indian national team. After initially being called up to the India senior squad in 2022, Ritwik made his international debut in March 2023 against Myanmar in India’s 1-0 victory in the Tri-Nation Series.

Now, after his stint with the Red Miners, Ritwik Das will wear the Odisha FC colours as the Kalinga Warriors add another experienced Indian attacking option to their squad ahead of the new ISL season.

Speaking after completing the move, Das said he was proud to join Odisha FC and excited about the opportunity to represent a club with strong ambitions. He also spoke about bringing the experience he has gained throughout his career and taking responsibility for what the club wants to achieve together.

Ritwik Das now begins a new chapter with Odisha FC, with the Kalinga Warriors becoming his latest stop in the ISL journey.
