Tomorrow, Mohun Bagan SG will host Punjab FC in the reverse fixture of the ongoing Indian Super League at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan, with kickoff at 7:30 PM.
The defending league shield champion is at the top of the table with 43 points from 19 matches and is closing in on a record-breaking points tally for a single season. Meanwhile, after a stunning comeback in their previous match against Bengaluru FC, Punjab FC is now in 9th place with 23 points from 17 matches and is on the path to securing a spot in the last six.
Anirudh Thapa trained separately on the sidelines during the matchday-minus-one session after a long time. Head coach Jose Molina stated in the pre-match press conference that it would take another two to three weeks for him to make a comeback on the pitch. Meanwhile, Alberto has returned to team training and will be available for tomorrow’s match, Molina added.
Due to card suspensions, Apuia Ralte and Tom Aldred will miss the game. Punjab FC head coach Panagiotis stated that their opponents are strong in set-piece situations, so they are well aware of the threat and have prepared accordingly, having already experienced it in the reverse fixture.
COACHES VIWE:
Mohun Bagan SG head coach Jose Molina said “Right now, for me, for my team, and my players, the only thing is to get three more points tomorrow. We will do our best to get them nothing more. With that, we will be closer to our goal if we can achieve the win. And now, we are focused on the next match nothing more. It’s like from the beginning”.

Punjab FC head coach Panagiotis stated “Since we are not in the qualification position now, every match for us is important, every match is a final, and every point we take is important. It’s the most crucial match, but crucial like all the others”.
