Mohammedan SC will play their last away fixture of the ongoing Indian Super League season tomorrow against FC Goa. Starting at 7:30 PM, FC Goa will host Mohammedan SC at the Fatorda Stadium. Both of them have two matches left in this edition of the ISL.
The maiden season has not been positive for the Black and White Brigade, as they sit at the bottom of the points table with 12 points from 22 matches. Meanwhile, the Gaurs are in second place with 45 points from the same number of matches and are aiming to maintain their grip on that position. In their head-to-head encounter in the reverse fixture, the match ended in a draw.
FC Goa are on a strong home run, winning their last four ISL games. A win here would mark the third time they achieve five or more consecutive home victories in a single season, following streaks of seven in 2019-20 and five in 2023-24.
Mohammedan kept a clean sheet in their previous away game against Odisha FC . The only time they had back-to-back clean sheets this season was in January. They have three away clean sheets in 2025, the joint-most with Mohun Bagan Super Giant.
COACHES VIEW:
Secured the spot, but every game counts, said Gaurs head coach Manolo Roca!
We’ve secured second place, but we need to play well in these last two games. In the ISL, any team can beat anyone if we don’t perform,” he said.
A tough challenge ahead, Mehrajuddin Wadoo is focused on securing positive results!
Goa are a strong team in a good position. We’ll have to give our best to earn all three points from this match,” said Mehrajuddin.
