East Bengal FC vs Bengaluru FC: Thrilling ISL 2024-25 Clash Preview, Match Timing, Live Streaming & Key Updates

Kolkata, March 1: East Bengal FC will host Bengaluru FC in their ongoing Indian Super League fixture tomorrow at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan from 7:30 PM.

In the reverse fixture, Bengaluru FC secured a narrow 1-0 victory. The Blues have already booked a spot in the top six and are now third in the league table with 37 points from 22 matches.

For East Bengal FC, this match is crucial and a must-win, as their playoff hopes may be dim, but they still burn for the Red and Gold Brigade. They have won their last three games consecutively and have moved up to eighth in the points table, with 27 points with two match remaining.

Almost the entire Red and Gold squad is fit, as PV Vishnu and Cleiton Silva are available for tomorrow’s match. However, Nanda Kumar is still not match-fit. Both Vishnu and Cleiton joined matchday minus-one training.

East Bengal FC secured their fourth home clean sheet of the season with a 2-0 win over Hyderabad FC, taking their total to six. They have only done better once before in 2023-24, with seven clean sheets. Meanwhile, Bengaluru FC have won their last three ISL matches without conceding a goal. Another shutout victory would mark their longest such streak in ISL history.

COACHES VIEW:

Mentality wins games! Oscar Bruzon emphasizes the power of mindset ahead of the must-win clash!
I hope that tomorrow we can have a better first half than what we did in the last game. Physically, we probably felt it in terms of freshness and the way we started the game. But if you see the 90 minutes of the team in the last game, our team was slowly getting into the rhythm of the game. And when they dropped a lead a little bit, in terms of freshness in the second half, we were the better team. We were also determined to win the game. So again, I say that mentality is sometimes stronger than any other factor.

Just victories! Zaragoza urges The Blues to push for the highest finish!
Our focus is on finishing as high as we can. Right now, our goal is to win the next two games,” said Gerrard Zaragoza.
