Emami East Bengal FC secured their first three points after defeating Northeast United FC tonight on their home turf, Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan.
From the kick-off whistle, East Bengal started playing high-pressing football. Within one minute, Jeakson made a run down the right flank and entered the box. He passed the ball to PV Vishnu, who attempted a shot from close to the goal line, but keeper Gurmeet saved it.
In the 12th minute, the visitors created a promising goal-scoring opportunity, but East Bengal FC’s defense was highly alert. From the right flank, Jithin entered the box, prompting Prabhsukhan Gill to come off his line to stop him. However, Jithin passed the ball to Parthiv, who advanced toward the empty net.
