Despite interest from bigger clubs, Clayton was drawn to Diamond Harbour FC because of one key figure, head coach Kibu Vicuna.

Vicuna Said, “We are involved in scouting for both teams. We try to get the best possible in all competitions. Now we are in the Calcutta Premier League, and we are going to participate in the Durand Cup. At the same time, we are thinking about the Development League team for next season. That’s why we have, I think we already have 16, 17, 18 players , who can play in the Development League next season. At the same time, we are preparing the elite team.
