Ten-Man Mohammedan SC Fall 1-0 to Mumbai City FC in Hard-Fought Clash

In the Kishore Bharati Krirangan on December 15, in the ongoing ISL Mohammedan SC host their first ever Mumbai City FC fixtures. Which ended up with 1-0 defeat. One on target shot from Vikram Pratap Singh sealed three more points for Mumbai City FC.

The match kicked off at a slow pace, with both teams playing possession football. In the 16th minute, Mumbai City had a great chance to score. Chhangte, from the right, took a low, long-range shot towards the empty goal as the keeper was out of position. However, the shot was off target and went wide.

In the 22nd minute, Mohammedan SC launched an attack from the right. Alexis cut the ball back to Remsanga near the corner line. Remsanga entered the box and set up Franca, who was positioned near the six-yard box, but Franca failed to take the shot.

In the 35th minute, Mohammedan SC were reduced to ten men. Irshad committed a rough foul on Brandon in midfield, earning his second yellow card of the match. His first yellow card had been issued just three minutes earlier.

In the early minutes of the second half at 49th minute, Mumbai City took the lead. From the left edge, Asher Rodrigues attempted a long shot, which Bhaskar Roy managed to fist away but failed to clear. Capitalizing on the rebound, Vikram Pratap struck a long precise shot on target.

In the 68th minute, Vikram Pratap attempted a long shot from the left, which Bhaskar Roy safely caught. As time passed, Mumbai City tightened their grip on the game.

In search of their first home game win, Chernyshov entered the field in their 11th match, but it ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat against the Islanders. Mohammedan remains at the bottom of the group with 5 points, while Mumbai City FC is 7th with 17 points from 11 matches.
