Kerala Blasters FC Fight Back for a 1-1 Draw Against 10-Man Northeast United FC in Thrilling Contest

Northeast United FC and Kerala Blasters FC ends the match in a hard-fought draw, neither side gave an inch!

At the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati, Northeast United FC ended their home match with a 1-1 draw against Kerala Blasters FC. After going one goal down, KBFC made a comeback and equalized the score.

With a head-to-head contest and urgency to take the lead first, both teams kicked off the match. With an attacking strategy and flawless wings, Northeast United FC and Kerala Blasters FC launched their game today. In the 16th minute, Noah made a fast run down the left wing, and after beating the defenders, he delivered the ball to Danish Farooq, but he failed to make any contact.

In a counter-attack in the 19th minute, Alaaddine made a run, cut past the defender, and took a shot, but it was deflected by a KBFC player. In the 24th minute, Naocha took a shot from inside the box, but it was off target. It was a good chance for KBFC.

In the 34th minute, the Highlanders got a golden chance to take the lead. Jithin MS, from midfield, passed the ball to Guillermo on the right. He entered the box with the ball and took a shot toward the near post, but it went wide.

In the second half, in the 58th minute, Northeast United took the lead. From a free kick, Alaaddine scored a flawless goal to give his team the advantage. But the lead didn’t last long as Noah scored the equalizer for KBFC in the 66th minute, taking a long-range left-footed shot to level the score.

In the 81st minute, Asheer Akhtar was shown a direct red card. He committed a rough challenge on Noah and was sent off the field. Despite being down to ten men, Northeast United FC held on until the final whistle. In the last minute of additional time, at 90+7 minutes, Zabaco made a great save from Aimen’s shot as Gurmeet was out of position, defending their score.

After attempting various shots, both teams tried to secure three points. However, Kerala Blasters FC controlled most of the ball possession and made a comeback to collect at least one point from their away match.
