They are back in the winning race, today at Naihati Bankimanjali Stadium Mohun Bagan Super Giant beat Peerless Sports Club with 1-0 scoreline. In CFL 2024, after playing three games this is Deggie Cardozo’s Mohun Bagan Super Giant’s first win.
After Kickoff, within five minutes Peerless SC got today’s matches first corner. At 10’th minute Peerless build up an attack from the left wing Amar Nath delivered a cross into box but their forward Aritra Ghosh took an off target grounder shot with it. At 20’th minute Aritra Ghosh passed the ball for Amar Nath, but after his attempt Sumit Rathi cleared the ball, very well defend by Rathi.
Within two minutes from an counter attack Tongsin took a defence splitting long ranger shot into the net, and scored the much awaited goal for Mohun Bagan Super Giant, using his brilliance individually he open up the scoreboard for his team. In the added time from substitute player Brijesh Giri’s cross, substitute player Salahuddin took a Grounder shot, but the shot wasn’t enough accurate for a goal.
