Railway FC took an early lead. From a defensive lapse, they scored their first goal in the 6th minute. Inside the box, Sumit Rathi tried to clear the ball, but Rahul Haldar intercepted it and took a strike. However, in the 21st minute, Mohun Bagan Super Giant built up an attack. From the right wing, Raj Basfore delivered a long in-swinging cross into the box, and Serto’s header converted it into a goal.
