On Sunday night, at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, NorthEast United FC hosted their this season’s last Mohun Bagan fixtures. The Mariners secured a 2-0 victory, with second-half strikes from Manvir and Liston earning another three points for the Mariners.
Within the first minute of the match, Alaadine launched an attack but lost control of the ball. In the 5th minute from the left flank, Liston Colaco sent the ball to Sahal, who delivered a low cross into the box. However, before another attempt by the Green and Maroons, Regragui cleared the ball away.
In the 19th minute, Alaadine passed the ball to Nestor, who took a shot, but Vishal made an incredible save. In the 25th minute the hosts launched another attack, Nestor sent a through ball to Alaadine towards the net; however, Dippendu made an excellent block.
However, in the 65th minute, Mohun Bagan SG broke the deadlock with Manvir’s strike. Cutting in from the right flank, Manvir entered the box and unleashed a shot from the middle, sending the ball into the net through the top-left corner of the crossbar.
Within six minutes, Liston Colaco doubled the lead for Mohun Bagan SG. As time passed, Mohun Bagan’s defense grew more confident. In the 80th minute, Parthib started a run down the left wing, but Aldred made a clearance.

With a dominating 56% ball possession and a leading scoreboard, Mohun Bagan SG sealed their 7th win of the ongoing ISL, topping the group with 23 points from 10 matches. NorthEast United remains in 6th position with 15 points from 11 matches.
Next Fixtures for both: Northeast United will travel to Hyderabad for their next match on December 23. Mohun Bagan SG will return to Kolkata to host their next home match against Kerala Blasters FC on December 14.
