5 July, Friday: Big win for Kalighat MS, they beat previous years Calcutta Football League champion Mohammedan SC with 1-2 lead, at their home ground today, on Friday afternoon. A graceful brace by Dorjee Tamang.
Rhythmic football by Kalighat Milan Sangha. Today, At Mohammedan Howra Union Ground, Kalighat MS snatched important three points from Mohammedan. At 11’th minute Mohammedan SC’s first attempt, Sajal Bag build up an attack from the left wing and crossed the ball into eighteen yards box, Adison Singh took a shot from it, but it was off target. Within five-minute Kalighat MS created a goal scoring chance, when unmarked Sakirul Ali and Asadul Hock build up an attack, but couldn’t open up the scoreboard.
At 36’th minute from a well-planned attack, Dorjee Tamang scored his and Kalighat MS’s first goal of the match, the assist was from Tushar Biswakarma. Within six minutes from a one two touch with Sakirul Ali Dorjee Tamang scored his second goal from a grounder shot. And brings two goals lead for Kalighat Milan Sangha.
