Today Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan has witnessed, competitive tough match between Mohammedan SC and Bengaluru FC. With a 3-2 scoreline Bengaluru FC got three points today, but Mohammedan SC tired their best to fight back against them.
Quick start by BFC, secured early lead in the match. With 7’th minute BFC got a corner, when Mohammedan SC failed to cleared their long ball, Jovanovic who was in the perfect position in the box headed out the ball into net. At 9’th minute from an attack Adison Singh delivered a cross from the right wing, but that was too close to Gurpreet Singh and he cleared it away.

With two down Mohammedan SC created some chances but, Bengaluru’s defence were much aware. At 41’st minute Sajal Bag build up an attack, he chested the ball well after beating the BFC defence but, failed to took a good shot. MSC took six shots through entire the first half, none of those were on target though. With dominating 66% ball position and 2-0 lead BFC ended the first half.
In the second half, at 60’th minute Bengaluru got their third goal. Vinith Venkatesh took a long curler shot from the top corner and, the ball goes into back of the net. At 64’th minute Sunil Chhetri who just entered into field few minutes ago, tried to took a shot inside from the box but, turned and back passed the ball to Pereyra Diaz, he took a shot but got deflected by Mohammedan SC’s defender. At 73’rd minute of the match Mohammedan SC build up an attack and got a corner, Salmal Faris took a header but, the ball goes out over the post, could have been done better.

At 77’th minute from the right wing substitute player Mahitosh Roy passed the ball to Ashley Koley and he center the ball into the box, Israfil Dewan took a header and send the ball into the net, Mohammedan open up their scoreline. It was a brilliant attack and the header was so perfect.
At 81’st minute from an counter attack Pereyra Diaz made a run with the ball, in the edge of the box MSC’s keeper Subhajit Bhattacharjee made a foul on him and conceded a direct red card. After that Coach Hakim Ssengendo already made five changes so Mohammedan SC’s defender Dipu Haldar changed his kit and wore the gloves for the remainder of the match. From the 19.6 meter distance Sunil Chhetri took the free kick but Dipu Haldar did an amazing save to it.

In the additional time, from a long ranger top corner shot Mahitosh Roy scored a Brilliant goal! Absolute stunning goal. In the last quater Mohammedan SC played very confident game and fought very hard. In the ongoing 133rd edition of the Durand Cup, today’s Mahitosh Roy’s goal was the best goal so far. Dipu Haldar scored that same side goal today, but shown very confident game in the last twenty minutes, but the match ended up with 3-2 scoreline in favour of Bengaluru today.
