At the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, Kerala Blasters FC sealed a convincing 3-0 victory against Mohammedan SC with an impressive attacking display in the second half. With this victory, the Yellow Army moved to 10th position in the group table with 14 points from 13 matches. On the other hand, the Kolkata Giants are still searching for a win and remain at the bottom of the table with 5 points from 12 matches.
The match kicked off with a slow and possession-based approach from both teams. In the 29th minute, Kerala Blasters FC registered the match’s first shot on target. From the left side, Noah Sadaoui delivered a cross to Peprah inside the box, who attempted a header, but it lacked power, allowing Bhaskar Roy to easily catch the ball.
In the 45+3rd minute, Kerala Blasters FC built up a promising attack. From the right, Luna sent the ball to Noah on the left side of the box, who crossed it to Korou at the far post. However, Korou’s header hit the crossbar. In the first half, Mohammedan SC managed only one shot, which was off target, however, their defense appeared solid.
In the 60th minute, Mohammedan SC earned a free kick from a promising position just outside the left side of the box after Drincic fouled Franca. Alexis took the free kick and unleashed a direct shot toward the net, but the goalkeeper easily caught the ball.
Within two minutes, Kerala Blasters launched a counterattack and earned a corner on the left. One mistake from Mohammedan then led to their lead. Luna delivered the ball into the box, and Bhaskar Roy attempted to punch it clear, but with poor contact, the ball went into the net.
In the 80th minute, following quick back-to-back attacks, Korou received the ball on the right side and delivered an aerial high ball to Noah inside the box. Noah then headed the ball into the net to double their lead. In the 86th minute, Noah was replaced by Coeff, and in the 90th minute, Coeff scored the third goal for the Yellow Army.

Mohammedan is going through a lot of struggles in their maiden ISL season, searching for a win for a long time, and they seemed devastated at the end of the match. On the other hand, Kerala Blasters FC, despite also having a tough season, showcased excellent football in the second half and secured the crucial three points, as they too were in search of a victory.
