Kolkata, July 29: Goal rain alert in Kolkata! East Bengal FC flooded the net with a 6-0 win over BSS Sporting Club in the ongoing Calcutta Football League fixture on Tuesday at the Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay Stadium. Both halves saw dominant performances from the Red and Gold Brigade, with three goals scored in each half, while BSS Sporting struggled to respond.
On a rainy field, East Bengal FC unleashed a storm of goals in the opening half. The breakthrough came in the 18th minute as Chaku Mandi netted the first goal, setting the tone. Seven minutes later, Tanmoy tried a shot from distance after a goal-bound attack but narrowly missed.
In the 31st minute, David went through two markers and unleashed a on target finish into the top corner from inside the box to double the lead for the Red And Gold. Just two minutes later, David turned provider, delivering a quick pass to Ashique inside the box, who made no mistake in slotting it into the net to brings the third before the half time break.

East Bengal FC picked up right where they left off, starting the second half with high-octane attacking football. The Red and Gold Brigade showed no signs of slowing down and within just five minutes, they added three more goals to their tally in a display of dominance.
In the 72nd minute, Ashique delivered a precise low cross from the left flank. Naseeb Rahman met it with a quick one-touch finish, placing the ball effortlessly into the net to make it 4-0.

Just two minutes later, in the 74th minute, Guite sent a pinpoint cross from the right. Unmarked and perfectly positioned, Mark Zo rose headed the ball into the frame, extending the lead to 5-0.
Barely a minute had passed when East Bengal FC struck again. A fierce shot was initially saved away by the BSS goalkeeper, but Guite was alert to the rebound. He followed up calmly and tapped the ball into the net, sealing East Bengal FC’s sixth goal in the 75th minute.

After the big Kolkata Derby win, East Bengal FC didn’t slow down. Under Bino George, they kept the momentum going with a dominant and attacking display, showing they’re ready for more. It was a commanding performance that reflected East Bengal FC’s control to the game, as they continued to flood the net with goals, in the ongoing Calcutta Football League.
