The Blues are shining brightly in the ongoing Indian Super League. Today, Bengaluru FC secured their third win, with a clean sheet, against Mohun Bagan SG at the Shree Kanteerava Stadium.
HOME TURF DOMINANCE: UNSTOPPABLE BLUES ON THEIR OWN GROUND.
From the kick-off, Bengaluru FC created attacking pressure on Mohun Bagan SG. In the 9th minute, they took the lead from a corner, with Edgar Mendez scoring the first goal for Bengaluru. In the 20th minute, Suresh Wangjam doubled the lead, assisted by captain Sunil Chhetri.
In the first half, Mohun Bagan looked completely off-color and scattered, while the Blues continued their attacking pressure, aiming to add more goals to the score sheet.
NET BREAKER: AGELESS MAESTRO SUNIL MAKES ANOTHER PIECE OF HISTORY AS THE TOP SCORER.
In the second half, the scenario was exactly the same as the first. In the 50th minute, Bengaluru FC scored their third goal. Inside the box, Dippendu Biswas committed a rough challenge on Mendez, awarding them a penalty. Sunil Chhetri took the penalty and scored the third goal. With that goal, Sunil made history as he is now the top scorer of the Indian Super League with 64 goals.

As time went on, Mohun Bagan SG grew desperate to get back into the game, but Bengaluru looked too composed in their play to leave an inch for the Green and Maroons. In the 69th minute, Liston Colaco took a long-range shot, but it was off target.
A short while later, in the 73rd minute, Cummins attempted a shot inside the box but was intercepted by Nikhil Poojari. With that win, Bengaluru secured their third consecutive victory and now stand at the top of the group table.
