Total Domination: Diamond Harbour FC Crushes Army Red in Unstoppable Victory!
Today in the Kalyani Stadium Kibu Vicuna’s Diamond Harbour FC got their big 6-0 victory against Army Red. In the other Group A match, the game between Mohammedan SC and Suruchi Sangha was postponed after the first half due to heavy rain.
Unstoppable Diamond Harbour FC continued their unbeaten run in the ongoing Calcutta Football League with another win against Army Red. In the 11th minute, they scored their opening goal. From a corner kick, Joby Justin received the ball and passed it to Aimar Adam, who gave Diamond Harbour FC the lead.
The goal storm came in the second half. In the 57th minute, Umesh Tirkey fouled Shaibor inside the box, resulting in a penalty. Joby Justin scored the second goal for Diamond Harbour FC from the penalty kick. Within ten minutes, substitute player Narohari Shreshtha found the net, changing the score to 3-0 for DHFC.
In the 75th minute, super sub Ariyan Rahaman scored the fourth goal for DHFC. In the 90+2nd minute, Lalsiem Kuki’s header brought the fifth goal for Diamond Harbour FC from another attack. As time went on, Army Red seemed to be playing very casually. Within two minutes, Kuki sent a cross from the left wing into the box, where Narohari Shreshtha chest-trapped the ball and placed it into the net.
