After a setback against Calcutta Customs in their previous match, East Bengal FC roared back to form in the Calcutta Football League 2024 with a dominant 6-0 victory over Police AC on Friday. The day marked the debut of Jeakson Singh, and the Red and Gold Brigade made sure it was a memorable one with a spectacular performance.

The match was witnessed by senior team coach Carles Cuadrat from the stands, adding to the excitement of the home crowd. On the field, Bino George’s team delivered a commanding performance. East Bengal FC scored twice in the first half and added four more goals in the second half, showcasing their offensive prowess.

The scoring began in the 16th minute when Sayan Banerjee, in collaboration with P.V. Vishnu, attempted a pass from the left flank. The ball deflected off a Police AC defender and found its way into the net. Just before halftime, Vishnu controlled the ball at the edge of the box and scored, making it 2-0 for East Bengal FC.


The second half saw East Bengal FC intensify their attack. In the 64th minute, Shyamal Besra netted the third goal from Aman’s pass from the left.

Three minutes later, Jesin T.K. scored the fourth goal after receiving a pass from Sanjib Ghosh on the right. In the 72nd minute, Jesin T.K added another goal, finishing a pass from Sayan Banerjee. The sixth and final goal came from Aman C.K, who capitalized on a pass from Jesin T.K.


Jesin T.K,s performance was instrumental, contributing both goals and assists, underscoring East Bengal FC’s emphatic win. Sayan Banerjee was awarded Man of the Match. The Red and Gold Brigade showcased their prowess, reaffirming their status as a formidable force on their home turf.
