Thursday, July 4: In Calcutta Football League Premier Division 2024, Diamond Harbour FC played their second match against BSS Sporting Club today. The match ended up with an indecisive Scoreline.
Not an impressive start. After the kick off within one minute Diamond Harbour FC’s defender Rabilal Mandi Committed a foul and gave them a free kick, Naba Kukar Das took that set piece. At 14’th minute BSS SC’s midfielder Suraj Mahato concedes a yellow card for a rough tackle to the opponent team players, first card offense of today’s match.
Aimar Adam took a long ranger shot from mid outside of the box at 32’nd minute but it was off target. Within two minutes, from Tuhin Sikdar’s cross Diamond Harbour FC’s captain Raju Gaikwad attempt a header but it was incredibly got saved by BSS SC’s keeper Avijit Kar. At 78’th minute BSS SC’s substitute player Gaurab das took a grounder shot from outside of the box but couldn’t made it two. At 85’th minute Diamond Harbour FC started their attack Substitute player Girik Khoshla centered the ball from the left wing inside of the box substitute player Naro Hari Shreshtha passed the header in the mid-air to Joby Justin, and the much awaited equaliser goal came from it, Joby justin placed the ball into the net with a precise and powerful header, and changed the scoreline into 1-1.
Throughout the match both teams played very well but, in two different styles. Kibu Vicuna’s Diamond Harbour FC played attacking game and Subrata Biswas’s BSS SC played defensive game. Numerous shots and saved was came from both of them, but the match ended up with two goals only.
At 60’th minute Girik Khoshla entered into the field and added sparkle to Diamond Harbour FC’s game. Throughout the match BSS SC’s defender Nabo Kumar Das defended very hard, very eye catching. Today’s Man of The Match was Diamond Harbour FC‘s captain Raju Gaikwad.
